After a long time i was writing this post.As for as the title mentioned,it is a Malayalam films .I just watched it for second time and i felt a need to write something about it.

A movie is a cultural element that changes the society around us. Actually this movie is born out of that society.It made me to think hard.

Where should i be in this social fabric? and what is my role in it?.As of now i am still searching..

shala -school

                                                       A movie that invokes child in you.

My friend Gaurav gurav introduced me to marathi movies,as a movie buff i readily accepted his offer and we watched lot of Marathi movies together (natarang,aapus,de dhakka etc...).On a fine feb(2011) morning,Gaurav showed me shala's movie website.And we eagerly waited fro the movie to release and it never happend.We completed our MBA(Masters of Bekaars &Aavaras) and mooved on in our life. Almost a year passed from that day.

Don't know how,i stumbled upon this movie and searched the web for the release date.To my surprise it is youtube already released.watched it.I went to my ethereal world.felt like i want my childhood back.I genie appears ,i just ask for my childhood.Those days from my Navodaya,BTech and MBA are now moving infornt of me  like movie on the screen.I miss you guy(my Navodaya rustic bunch,BTech bekar band,and MBA avara hostlers).

well comming to movie, every scene depict those innocent minds trying to explore the world without knowing the consequences of their acts.For me ,every frame awakened  my sleeping neurons and in turn took me to my childhood.especially those scenes where the lead actor watches his love interest without noticing her.I did this a lot.though never dared to tell her that i liked her.perhaps if those days comes back i want to tell her that i liked her.

                                      Great acting by each and every one.And its one of the best

A good biopic.can't say the best of what I have seen,but it touched me.I longed for such type of stories for a long time.Irfan khan,though as an young athlete didn't fared well,but as an innocent,naive and brave hearted,he showed us what he sacrificed to be heard.It is a true story of an Indian national champion's journey athlete to dacoit.

A key to Exam

well,yesterday i saw this Telugu movie "KEY" just because Jagapathi Babu acted in it.But it turned out to be a copy from a Hollywood movie "EXAM".

Though they copied the entire story  scene by scene,the actors couldn't bring out the emotions required for scenes.But  it is a bold act to remake the movie for the Telugu audience.

It is altogether a new genre for the Telugu audience.Director Nagendra prasad did well.

A good watch for people who didn't saw the original movie.

Eskiya( The Bandit)

                                                  "what does life matter in face of love"

This is a fabulous love story from Turkey.The story touched my heart ,and it has a fantastic screen play.The story is about a bandit who after serving 35 years in jails,searches for his love in the streets of Istanbul.

when the bandit comes out ,he discovers that his close friend is one one who made him to suffer in the jail.not only that ,his friend had stolen his gold and his love interest.So he goes to Istanbul to find her.

He accidentally meets a young guy and quickly become his acquaintance .the young guy help him to find his love.There are many twists and turns in movie.one has to see it to enjoy.so i am not writing the whole story.

But the actors are very good, especially "Sener sen".Noe i am downloading other of is movies.

The Girl with the Dragon Tatto

Saw this Swedish movie yesterday. The story is based on a Novel. The story, a murder mystery had a fascinating screenplay.

The protagonist, a journalist by profession is chosen by a business man to unearth the mystery surrounded by her niece disappearance 40 years back. Every year he used to get a picture of a dry flower from her niece when she was alive. But even after her disappearance he gets a parcel every year. So he thinks that the murderer is sending those.

In another track the lead actress, a young hacker who hacks into journalist’s computer and deletes the evidence about another business man’s irregular activities (she was recruited to do this).When the journalist wrote an article about the irregularities, the business man goes to court. And due to insufficient evidence the court sentence the journalist for wrong accusation.

 Before going for the sentence he is hired to unearth the murder mystery. When he is researching about the murder, the actress who is still hacking his computer finds something related to the murder. After that both will team up and solves the mystery.

The background score makes it more interesting. It is like the Sherlock Holmes story. A good watch.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

I watched this movie yesterday in 3D.well the story is old but had some eye catching scenes.again caption Jack Sparrow entertained the audience to his fullest.

Penelope Cruz made the movie more sexier .Though many of the scenes were expected ,Johny depp's dialog delivery made the movie more watchable.

This movie showed the Mermaids in a different and in a dangerously fearful character,They took some concepts from a Telugu movie.Many people might have seen "Saahasa Veerudu Saagara Kanya",where the story is based on mermaid.In this movie also the mermaid gets its legs when it touches the ground and get the fish body once touches the water.


Good watch.A humorous movie....

Rio

Its a story of a blue parrot and his adventures.The parrot was caged by some smugglers from Brazilian forest and taken to Minnesota,America.The box containing the baby bird accidentally flew out from the truck and a little girl keeps the parrot. this is the child hood.

   After many years of domestication,the blue parrot learns every thing and lives happily with his master,until a Brazilian scientist lands at their door steps.he persuades his owner Linda to bring the parrot to Rio,so that they can improve their breed by mating a lone female parrot of his species.

The actual adventure happens from here.The parrot meets his wild counterparts who want to escape from the lab.But both were smuggled again by a smuggler .And later part of story is how they escape and how the male parrot impress the female parrot.

The story has many character who helps the players.all together its a family entertainer.Most important the Rio festival was nicely depicted.watch the movie.

Akira Kurasowa's Ran & Dersu Uzala

I came to know Akira as Japanese director who directed Rashomon.When i saw this movie,i was confused and took help of Wikipedia to know the story and watched it again.because story was told in 4 versions .so the story repeats again and again(Confused!!!).But it's a WOW!!! factor after knowing the trick.

 simply superb..

SO, with a lot of admiration for Akira Kurasowa started downloading his movies..

RAN

simple story and lot of visualization.full credit to picturization.A story of a king and his 3 sons.king becomes old and want to make his elder son the king,so distributes is kingdom according to all is sons.the youngest always opposes his father's traditionalist views and blind faith on is brother.

so he feel the warth of is father and was thrown out of kingdom.mean while the eldest with his evil intentions and by his wife's advice throws away his father.( *Women-they are the creators and they are the destroyers).King gets the same treatment from his second son.

when he was on is way to 3rd castle which was to be given to his third son.the other to sons attacks the father and try to kill him.the second son took this as an opportunity and kill his elder brother and becomes emperor.

with this father realizes what he has done and loses his mind.in the end the 3rd son comes to rescue his father but was killed by his brothers army.in the end every one dies.

Actually this is story of everything from love,lust,power,respect,relationship,revenge.every character has a meaning full part in this movie.all element of life was depicted in it.

a must watch..

DERSU UZALA

It is a adventure movie and story is based on a book named the same.It is a story of an explorer who met nomad who is entirely opposite to explorer's character.yet their relationship and their bonding was shown in this movie.

The nomad(dersu) helps explore to show the way and most of the story happens in forest only. some of the scenes in this movie are festival to eyes.especially Dersu(the nomad) once scolds a tiger who follows them in the forest.its childish but shows the mentality of dersu.

the movie depicts Siberia's nature and dangers and perils of the nature.Actually this the the nomard from the eyes of explorer.

 when explore felt that dersu became old ,he asks him to come to city.There Dersu couldn't live and at last tells explorer that he is  leaving he city.

The end was bit sad .explores gets a telegram say Dersu was killed in the jungle.but it is appropriate to end the story.the last scene where explore morns for his friend was picture perfect.

               my next movie....Seven Samurai

F.A.L.T.U Accepted

 yaa guys,in the movie it was accepted as professional university by mithun da.But actually it was the story of "Accepted".we need to accept the truth that we are good at "makki to makki"(copied exactly).

English movie aficionados might have known about the english version,but for many of my Indian friends it is a new concept,new story .

The movie is a satire on our educational system in a humors way.well the story is about a bunch of friends who were rejected by all the colleges.In order to escape their family wrath,they creates a fake university and made their parents believe.they create fake website ,gives an ad in news paper and rents an old building.

But the problem starts withe website and the ad in paper.Student from all over india comes to join that college.The real story starts from here.

All the lead actors, who are fresh faces played well.Arshad warsi and Ritesh Deshmuk were like pillars of the movie.The dance sequence that come in the last 15 minutes was awesome.really liked the concept.well i need to appreciate the director.he took risk to name this movie as "FALTU",though the movie's story was copied,he executed it effectively to the Indian situations.

Product Placement:McDonalds,Acer,Apple ipad,Nissan,Google.

Good entertainer for youth.It also spreads the message that  you need to follow your passion,success will be your.

Angry Birds:The Movie

Science Fiction all day

Two days back when i was doing a spelling check for the word "Abyss"(in google!!),i came across a movie with the same title.James Cameroon was the director ,so out of sheer enthusiasm i download it.

Abyss

Wowwww! that was my first expression after watching this.Marvelous story at par with "Avatar" and better than "Sanctum".
The movie has full length under water picturization.I was really amazed by the technology and animation used in the movie(it is a 1989 movie).

well the story is about a bunch of under water oil rig technician who came across Aliens in the water.They were living under the deep fathoms without harming any one.but one day a US nuclear submarine met with an accident in deep water and get submerged. US Military want to know what happen( they thought Russians did it).So they bring Under water OUl rig tecchnician to know what happen to the submarine.

The real story happens from here.But more important is the visualization and imagination of Cameroon. Writing such a story and directing it simply fantastic.

The movie has message to the world.Aliens want peace among people,if we fight with each other they will kill us all.

The Thing

The alien bug bit me,so i searched IMDB to find out similar genre  of same time period(1980's).And i came across with this movie.Story and screen play was good,though a bit cruelty was show( its a must for that character!).
The story happen in Antarctica .A bunch of US scientists found out that their camp was  inhibited by an alien who occupy any life form by taking away the body.No one knows who is infected and the alien eats away one by one to improve its strength.
  It can live in the ice for millions of years and Fire is its enemy.A good watch.

Rango & Paul

For past 2 to 3 days my mood was at abyss .Its just the placement fever.But i have a medicine, "Movies".In a span of 10 hours saw two movies which are humerus and entertaining.

yesterday i had an exam,and right after the exam i saw this movie called "RINGO".It is about a chameleon who become a hero from Zero,simply by his uncommon acts.I wont revel the story but  its an bit old story cooked in a new pot called animation.

The story happen in wild west and most of the scenes are copied from other movies.A good to watch animation movie.

So after the movie i had dinner ,but before that put PAUL for downloading.

 Yearly in the morning at 6:30 am,ready to watch the movie.So watched it.its an another comic movie from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.I have seen two of their combination "shaun of the dead" and "hot fuzz".

Paul has an element of excitement because it deals with aliens and spaceships.The story is very entertaining.Two nerds from England comes to US to attend Comic-Con convention.After the convention the two takes a road trip in their Caravan to visit the places of major extraterrestrial importance.

In the journey they met PAUL an alien ,then the real story begins.They help Paul to escape from the earth.During the journey Simon finds his love and new characters will add for time to time to entertain.you need to watch for remaining story.

They are good watch and refreshment.

Benda Bilili:The Congolese Music

Dongala muta

Yet another sensation from maverick Ramgopal Varma .Now its not about the story but the techincality of the movie.His action will  literally reduce the role of Cinematographer in the Movie industry.

 For his next movie Dongala Muta he just used Canon 5D cameras to shoot the entire film.Now many of the producers are comming to him for the consultation because it reduces the budget substatially.

 The movie is releasing on 18th march and the fate of the Cinematographers depends on the success and failure of this movie.

The Lost Thing

This is a short animated film that won 2011 Oscars.It has wonderful story and hats off to the imaginative story.
   
 The story is about a teen who found a thing(neither a machine or an animal) on the beach.No one knows about this thing,even his friend who know about everything.so he brings it to home,but his parent didn't approve that.At last he sees an advertisement which say that Department of Lost and found will take care of the unknown thing.

  He goes there,but a worker gives him a slip of direction and asks him not to submit the thing there.So he takes the direction slip and finds the place which is a place for Unknown things that doesn't know by anyone.hey say good bye to his unknown friend and leaves the unknown world.

What captivated me most is the story.Its like a dream,full of imaginative things.In the end the movie shows the life of a mechanical world where there is no value to emotions.

Lord of War

                                           "Never go to war,especially with yourself."

 

The movie is based on International arm dealer.Though the story was fictional,most of the conflicts portrayed i the film were real .You will find historical depicts of the war happened in many places.The brutality of the war was shown by clearly saying that an arm dealer is a spec in the world of arm deals .

  

    The five largest arms exporters USA, UK, Russia,France, and China are also the permanent member in the security council of UN.this shows the gravity of the situation.

   

    So there will never be peace in this world.This movie depicts the situation happened in Lebanon, Sudan, Cambodia, Afghanistan, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

  Nicolas Cage as an international arm deal gave a scintillating performance .The screenplay was good,never felt bored.In the end Cage choose his passion instead of his family that is dealing ,in which he is good at.
